"A Time for Everything"

Inspirational Devotion...

It’s the autumn season already! Change is all around us as we begin to make preparation for the coming winter season.

Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us: “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the sun.” The last of the harvest is being gathered into the storehouses.

Jesus tells us to look around us and see the people who are ready to hear the Good News of forgiveness and salvation. He calls these the harvest. In John 4:36 Jesus says, “Even now, the reaper draws his wages, even now he harvests the crop for eternal life so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.”

Whatever we do for eternity while here on the earth will follow us into eternity. Whether we are the ones who plant the seed (tell the Gospel) or the ones who harvest it (lead another person to faith in Christ Jesus), we will rejoice together!

Jesus told us in Luke 10:2, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.” That is exactly what we have done. We have asked God and He has sent you! Each of us to do the work He has appointed us to do! I praise God for each of you and your faithfulness to fulfill what God has called you for.

Galatians 6:7: Do not be deceived, God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows.

Galatians 6:8b-9: the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.

God has blessed you and kept you for every good work!
