"This and That"
From Kathy Hermenitt
(on how she feels about the autumn season)
–"This is a day event that has become somewhat of a tradition. Color tour. We load up the car and drive to no specific destination. Everyone wants a window seat. With our eyes wide open and our hearts eager to see the beauty that our Jesus has painted for us to be in awe of, we drive. It does not take long for someone to say, “Oh, look at that. Isn't that so beautiful?” We love the artist canvas that we can drive through. Driving straight into the brush strokes of color and change. Fall color just before the fresh fallen snow. The same as the cross. The same as us before we are washed clean."
*Last month (9-25-16) at Lakeside Academy, there were about 11 or 12 youth in attendance. Three of them said the Sinner’s Prayer and accepted Jesus into their heart.
*Also last month, KayKay, Jessica and Lanate did a wonderful praise dance before the congregation. There is more to come.
*The Juvenile Justice Ministry would like to get more people involved, especially youth in the grade-range of middle school and high school. If you feel you have a calling to minister to youth who are in transition and need someone to show them the love of God, then please see Maurice, Lanate or Pastor Tom for information on how you can get involved.
*Bible Blabbers Puppet Team is looking for committed individuals who feel they have a calling to this ministry. Rehearsal is from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm bi-weekly on Sunday. Please see Pastor Pam for more information.
*International Childcare is a sponsorship ministry that pledges a monthly monetary amount until a child graduates from school. If you are interested in this ministry, please see Pastor Pam.
